Prime minister says recent incidents don’t appear to be motivated by ideology as Coalition demands more information

Anthony Albanese says it appears some of the perpetrators behind a spate of antisemitic attacks in New South Wales and Victoria were paid actors rather than ideologically motivated offenders, seemingly confirming the target of police investigations.

But the prime minister resisted the Coalition’s demands to disclose further details about the Australian Federal Police probe, suggesting it could compromise efforts to track down the alleged criminals.
