A 13-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a Coles supermarket worker at an Ipswich shopping centre.

Queensland police said the teen allegedly approached the Coles employee at the Yamanto Central Shopping Centre in Ipswich, south-west of Brisbane, on Monday evening.
