Use of weapon, which can carry nuclear payload, would mark its first use in any armed conflict if confirmed

Ukraine’s air force said that Russia had fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at the city of Dnipro this morning, which if confirmed would be the first time that the long-range weapon has been used in any armed conflict.

It was one of nine missiles launched at enterprises and critical infrastructure in the city between 5am and 7am from the Astrakhan region of Russia, meaning that it probably travelled more than 500 miles to reach its target.
