Jeremiah Azu retained his British indoor title with victory in the men’s 60m final at the British Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The 23-year-old Azu matched his personal best time of 6.56sec to finish 0.06 in front of John Otugade and Andrew Robertson.

The Utilita Arena had earlier to be evacuated after a fire in a flat near the venue on Saturday morning, around 90 minutes before the first event was due to start, causing a delay to proceedings.
