There are four mothers expected to compete in the world championships that got officially underway Thursday in Lake Placid — U.S. skeleton athlete Kelly Curtis, Swiss bobsledder Nadja Pasternack, and U.S. bobsledders Elana Meyers Taylor and Kaillie Humphries.
