Bimbo Ademoye

Bimbo's focus this year was independent filmmaking. Producing content frequently, she cemented her status as a versatile icon who effortlessly transitions between humour and depth.

Some of her recent works include Homecoming, Fame and Fury, Ruse, and Shining Star. 

Bisola Aiyeola

With her stellar performance in Everybody Loves Jenifa, Bisola reminds us of her ability to leave her audience wanting more.

Her rise to fame happened in 2017 when she became the first runner-up of Big Brother Naija. In 2018, she won the AMVCA Trailblazer Award at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards.

Her recent works include Iwájú, (voice of Happiness) and Muri & Ko.

Uzoamaka Aniunoh

2024 was a special year for Aniunoh. She appeared in several films including Daniel Oriahi's psychological thriller, The Weekend, a commercial and critical success that earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 20th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards. 

She also featured in Prime Video's With Difficulty Comes Ease, directed by Korede Azeezez, and and in Ifeoma Nkiruka Chukwuogo's Phoenix Fury, which won the Best Film and Best Director awards at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in November 2024.

Her other films include  Love Notes, and Shaping Us.

Uzoamaka Onuoha

This talented actress is rising fast and for all the good reasons. 

Onuoha’s performances are filled with raw emotion and powerful presence, making her the perfect candidate for some of Nollywood’s most gripping roles. 

Her role in Agemo earned her the Best Female Performance Award at the Africa Film Festival this year. She brings a wow factor to every role, making even the most intense scenes look effortless.

Her recent works include Theory of Breakfast and Peaceville.

Wumi Toriola

With a plethora of films to her credit, her recent movies include Crossroads, Farmers Bride, Seven Doors and Queen Lateefah which she doubled as the producer.

As a first-time cinema producer, Toriola's Queen Lateefah made an impressive start with ₦57 million in its first weekend of release.

As it continued to attain great feats, it grossed over ₦350 million two months after its release. 

Sharon Ooja

Undeniably Nollywood's sweetheart, she came into the limelight after she played the role of "Shalewa" in the web series Skinny Girl in Transit.

She has gone ahead to be featured in several films including Hijack ‘93, Oloture: The Journey, Recall and Flawsome.

Beverly Osu
