Nestled in the Andaman Islands, North Sentinel Island is home to the indigenous Sentinalese tribe. The Indian government has imposed a strict no-contact policy in order to protect the tribe and their way of life. In January 2006, two fishermen fishing illegally in prohibited waters were killed by the Sentinelese when their boat drifted too close to the island.
