President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Afam Osigwe, activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju, and other legal practitioners are currently at the Federal High Court in Abuja over Omoyele Sowore’s case.
The Nigeria Police Force will arraign Sowore, a popular Nigerian activist, today for labeling the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, as the ‘illegal IGP.’
The activist was invited by the Force for questioning at the Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) office at Old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja, on Monday.
He was subsequently asked to produce a level 16 federal civil servant and his international passport as conditions for his bail.
Sowore, however, rejected the condition and opted to remain in police custody pending his arraignment.
He is expected to appear before Justice Liman of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday (today).
