A notorious bandit leader, Na’ballo, an ally of Ado Aleiro is dead.
Na’ballo, a high profile bandit with a history of
terrorizing communities, was killed during a clash with troops.
He was reportedly based in the eastern Takulawa, in Tsafe
Local Government Area of Zamfara State from where he coordinated criminal
activities.
Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counter-terrorism and
insurgency expert, said Na’ballo met his end during an internal confrontation
among bandit factions in the area.
In a separate incident on Monday, suspected Fulani bandits
launched an attack on motorists between Kucheri and Magazu villages.
The motorists narrowly escaped and alerted the military.
Acting on the intelligence, troops responded swiftly and
neutralized the bandits in a coordinated operation, killing all eight
attackers.
No civilian was harmed during the military intervention.
