Bobrisky, the self-proclaimed transgender, has slammed the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a lengthy Instagram rant.
In a series of posts, Bobrisky mocked the EFCC for asking
Nigerians to be “human” over the loss of one of their operatives, who was
allegedly killed by an internet fraudster in Anambra.
The crossdresser also recounted her experience with the
EFCC, describing them as “one of the most wicked people in Nigeria”.
“I just don’t like reading anything about EFCC online, cos I feel like I wanna throw up anytime I read about them. You are asking the public to be human about the loss of one of your staff, but you are the most wicked people in Nigeria,” she wrote.
She claimed they searched her house, seized her phone for
over a week, and went through her emails.
Bobrisky also alleged that the EFCC tried to access her
private conversations on Instagram and WhatsApp, but she declined.
The social media celebrity claimed the EFCC asked her to
provide the phone number of Papaya, a social media influencer, but she refused.
“When I was in your custody, you took me to my house and
searched my house. When I asked you guys why, you claimed that I am into money
laundering, you want to check if I am not printing money in my house. Police
are hundred percent better than you all one million times,” she said.
“After writing my statement, you asked me to give you
Papaya’s number. I told you I do not have her number. Even if I am not talking
to her, I won’t be heartless to set her up like that cos I was not trained to
be a snitch.
“I am a good citizen that obeys laws. If not, immediately I
got your invitation letter, I would have flown out of Nigeria because I had two
countries visa on my passport. But I said no, I am a public figure, let me
honor their invitation.
Bobrisky also warned Nigerian entrepreneurs against selling
their goods in dollars, claiming that the EFCC was arresting people who did so.
She referenced the experience of a friend who was allegedly
arrested by the EFCC after accepting payment in dollars.
“Lastly, business owners stop selling your stuffs in
dollars. They are using that to arrest people too,” she wrote.
“One of my friends is their victim. They went to his store
and pretended to be a customer that wanted to purchase one of the items in the
store. They offered to pay in dollars and he told them to pay, naso they arrest
am.”
Bobrisky’s issues with the EFCC date back to April last year
when she was arrested and sentenced to six months in prison for abusing the
naira.
On November 1, the crossdresser was re-arrested by EFCC
officials while attempting to leave Nigeria. The internet celebrity was dragged
off her Amsterdam-bound flight.
The EFCC confirmed that she was rearrested to assist in
investigating bribery allegations against the agency.
This was after she claimed that she paid some EFCC officials
N15 million to drop money laundering charges against her in a purported audio
conversation.
