Activist-cum-politician, Omoyele Sowore, on Friday, accused former President Muhammadu Buhari of heading an administration of scammers.

Sowore was reacting to the disappearance of E-Naira which was launched by Buhari’s administration.

In October 2021, the Central Bank of Nigeria launched the digital currency, e-Naira to coincide with Nigeria’s independence anniversary.

Former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele had assured that the advantages of the Central Bank Digital Currency, CBDC, are enormous.

The apex bank chief urged Nigerians to embrace the e-Naira and explained it is safer than cryptocurrencies.

Reacting to the disappearance, Sowore said e-Naira has been replaced with T-pain, a term used in referring to President Bola Tinubu and the current hardship.

Posting on X, Sowore wrote: “Where is @Mbuhari and @GodwinIEmefiele’s E-Naira? Has it been replaced with T-Pain’s T-NAIRA? Government of Scammers.”
