The Federal Government, through the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, has urged residents in flood-prone areas to relocate to safer locations immediately, as the release of water from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam into Nigeria poses a heightened flood risk in parts of the country. The agency emphasized the urgency of evacuation to avoid casualties, citing the severe
