The statement explained that the council’s Chairman, Anengi Claude-Wilcox, was deeply saddened by the tragic incident that claimed the lives of two adults and a toddler. The statement further explained that 19 survivors from the incident “were immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention at a cost to be borne by the council.
