In an effort to foster entrepreneurship among young Nigerians, Reality Services has launched an innovative scheme in select secondary schools in Kaduna and Katsina states.
Speaking in Kaduna, Abubakar Wambai, a Director at Reality Investment & Consultancy Service Ltd, said the initiative aims to bridge the gap in entrepreneurship education, which was revealed through a research conducted in 2015.
“We discovered a huge gap between younger students, those in tertiary institutions, and graduates in terms of entrepreneurship,” Wambai explained.
“This gap must be addressed, especially in this era of generational change, where our youth can no longer rely solely on white-collar jobs.”
The scheme, which comprises four key components, seeks to equip secondary school students with essential entrepreneurship skills. These components include, establishing entrepreneurship clubs to educate students about entrepreneurship principles, leadership training to foster leadership skills, financial management training to teach students how to manage funds effectively and business education to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles.”
He said by launching this initiative, Reality Services hopes to contribute to the economic well-being of the nation by empowering young Nigerians with the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful entrepreneurs.
