The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will provide dedicated space for the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Traders at Dei-Dei market.
The Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Felix Amechi Obuah, made the pledge when the representatives of the union visited him in Abuja.
According to him, the space allocation, which is on the request of the union, will go a long way in improving the services they provide to their customers.
He urged the president of the association to call on his members to see how they can take cattle off the streets of Abuja as they obstruct vehicles in the nation’s capital.
National president of the union, Comrade Mohammed Tahiru, said, “We are willing to collaborate with the AMMC and work closely with relevant authorities to ensure peace, orderliness, and crime-free trading environment.”
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), in a move to enforce building regulations in the Federal Capital City, the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Felix Obuah, and the FCT Building Contravention Task Force, is embarking on joint site visits.
The visits, which commenced in the Guzape District, have so far uncovered unauthorized structures and contraventions in the district and other parts of the city.
Obuah promptly ordered the marking of the offending structures for demolition; emphasizing the importance of adhering to approved building plans.
He warned developers that construction should only begin after approval has been granted; stressing that strict compliance is non-negotiable.
