Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has upgraded its ICT department to enable it to capture the biometrics of intending pilgrims from the state ahead of preparation for the 2025 Hajj.
The Director General of the board, Umar Ahmad Labbo, who disclosed this in an interview with journalists on Tuesday stated that the upgraded ICT facilities have increased the board’s internet connectivity and provided efficiency in biometric capturing for pilgrims.
The DG also said the board has realised the critical role of reliable and high-speed internet in its daily operations hence the resolve to upgrade its facilities, explaining that the upgraded ICT department is expected to address existing limitations.
He commended Governor Umar Namadi for giving the pilgrim welfare board all the necessary support needed for the success of the Hajj operations.
