The Edo State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), says it has arrested 3,804 motorists for traffic violations in the state between January and February, 2025.

The Sector Commander, Cyril Mathew, disclosed this while speaking with journalists on corps efforts at curbing traffic violations in the state.

He said, “In January 1,690 traffic offenders were arrested while in February, 2,114 motorists were arrested for traffic violations across the state.”

The sector commander listed the common traffic violations in the state to include, failure to install speed limit device, overloading, absence of fire extinguisher, route violation, seat belt use violation, use of phone while driving, among others.

Mathew explained that the offenders were arraigned in a mobile court and fine accordingly for the various offences committed

He said the arrest of the offenders and subsequent arraignment in court would serve as detriment to other drivers.
