JMG Limited, a provider of electro-mechanical solutions, has reiterated its commitment to drive energy efficiency, infrastructure development and technological advancements that align with global sustainability goals.
The Group General Manager, Rabi Jammal, stated this during the Solar Appreciation Day which was commemorated with a road walk in Lagos.
The walk was to create awareness of engineering solutions for sustainable development, including renewable energy innovations such as solar power.
Jammal said, “As the world transitions towards cleaner and more efficient energy solutions, engineering remains the driving force behind innovation and progress. Our road walk serves as a platform to engage the public on the pivotal role of engineering in shaping a more sustainable future. Solar energy is just one of the many solutions we champion to ensure access to affordable, reliable and renewable power sources.”
He said beyond energy, the company has continued to contribute to sustainable cities and communities by leveraging engineering innovations to develop smarter infrastructure, reduce energy waste and promote industrial efficiency.
“We’ve integrated our electromechanical solutions in areas like Trinity Tower; we’ve done it in Dangote Cement, we’ve done it with MTN, and we’ve done it with Akwa Ibom International Airport, and many other places, showing our trust and our dependability to our customers.
“So, today it’s to emphasise and to show the importance of solar energy towards building a sustainable future for our children, for our community. And the better way is to go and emphasise it and shout it all out in terms of showing the importance of sustainable energy and, more importantly, to show how engineering drives innovation and drives this vision,” he stated.
Participants, including JMG employees, industry stakeholders, and sustainability advocates, wore branded T-shirts featuring inscriptions on electro-mechanical solutions and renewable energy solutions, at the event.
