The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), has presented Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certificates to four qualified manufacturers based in Gombe State.

Presenting the certificates yesterday in Gombe, the State Coordinator, Muhammad Alhaji Bukar, identified the companies as NCCE Mining Limited and MAJA Associates Nigeria Limited, manufacturers of Plaster of Paris (POP) cement and Habbos Nigeria Limited and GAN Electrical and Technology Services, manufacturers of concrete  poles for electricity distribution.

He said the companies were issued with the certificates having demonstrated conformity to the relevant standards of the SON, adding that, “This means their products have met the minimum standard requirement which qualified them for the certification.”

Bukar advised the management of the companies to double their efforts to maintain the quality of their products, as “having the certificate is one thing, and the ability to sustain it in terms of quality, safety and performance, is another thing.

Responding on behalf of the companies, Manager of NCCE Mining Limited, Alhaji Abba Usman, commended SON and assured of their resolve to maintain their respective products standard, adding that the certificates is a testimony of the companies belief in quality.
