The Chairman of the New Nigeria Development Company (NNDC), Malam Lamis Dikko, has disclosed that the company is embarking on an industrial revolution in Northern Nigeria, focusing particularly on the agricultural sector.
He revealed that the NNDC, in collaboration with foreign partners, is conducting feasibility studies to establish three dairy centres across the northern region.
The initiative, he said, aims to boost livestock activities and enhance the economic viability of the sector.
“It is high time Nigeria started reaping the benefits of the livestock sector, especially now that the country has a full-fledged Ministry of Livestock Development,” Dikko said.
Dikko reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fulfilling the vision of its founding fathers. “Our focus remains the advancement of industrial development in the region, including agriculture and its associated industries,” he added.
