A young boy suspected to be from the Yorubaland has been rescued in Agbor, Delta State, after he was reportedly kidnapped while on an errand for his parents. 

The boy was found in the company of a woman allegedly attempting to sell him at Owanta Aliosimi, sparking widespread concern.

City & Crime reports that the child is now in police custody, along with the suspect while the police search for his parents to reunite him.

The police called on anyone who can identify the boy or knows his family’s whereabouts to come forward immediately.

 “We are committed to ensuring this child returns safely to his family,” the command’s spokesperson said. 

The PPRO said the boy’s family is still unknown, as he has not been able to provide sufficient details to help the authorities locate them, adding that they are exploring various channels to reach out to communities in Yorubaland to locate his relatives.
