Police in Niger State have rescued 23 kidnap victims.

The police spokesperson in the state, Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement, said 19 of the victims were passengers who had been kidnapped at Gidan-Kwakwa along the Tegina-Zungeru road.

They were travelling in a Toyota bus, registration number LG 08 DGS, from Sokoto State to Bayelsa State.
