Royal Enfield Slide School Cup: What’s it?

Flat-tracking is an extreme American motorsport and is possibly the oldest form of motorcycle racing still in existence. For those uninitiated with the Royal Enfield Slide School, it first debuted in India back in 2019 at Rider Mania. Since then it has marked its presence in various countries including the USA, the UK, Europe and Thailand.

The Royal Enfield Slide School Cup is an extension of the pre-existing Slide School. It aims to encourage Slide School students to participate in this championship. This was the inaugural edition and it began at the Motoverse 2024 with riders competing with an FT411 motorcycle which is purpose-built for flat-track.

This championship hosted over a hundred participants and spanned over three months across Goa, Bengaluru, and Pune before concluding at the recently introduced Royal Enfield track at Jaipur. It concluded with a tie between Anish Shetty and Sathya Raj Arumugam with 39 points each. However, Anish Shetty was announced the champion as he won the third race of the final round. Sathya Raj Arumugam was therefore adjudged as the first runner-up followed by Karan Drishya who was the second runner-up with 29 points.

The Royal Enfield Jaipur track has been recently introduced and is located on the outskirts of the city. The premises has been divided into four activity zones namely - Adventure Zone, Slide Zone, Technical Zone and Chill Zone. The Jaipur track will be used for rider training through the brand's Adventure School and Slide School programs in addition to being a training ground for the brand’s factory teams.
