As is usually the case for Tata Motors, after the slew of festive season discounts come the year-end discounts, which come into effect to move older inventory. Select dealerships even have MY2023 stock of the Harrier, Safari, Nexon, Punch, Tiago, Altroz, and Tigor, on which there are massive benefits on offer. Essentially, other than the recently launched Curvv, Tata’s entire ICE portfolio is on discount this month. And, for the first time, the performance-focused Tata Altroz Racer has appeared on dealer’s discount lists. So without further ado, here’s how much you could save on your new Tata car or SUV this November.
Disclaimer: Discounts vary from city to city and are subject to the availability of stock. Please check with your local dealer for exact discount figures.
Save up to Rs 1.05 lakh
Just five months after Tata introduced the sporty Altroz Racer, the hatchback is now available with decent benefits up to Rs 65,000, which includes a cash discount and an exchange or scrappage bonus. The Altroz Racer is powered by a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard; an automatic version is on the cards. Available in three variants, the sport Altroz is priced between Rs 9.49 lakh-10.99 lakh.
Altroz hatchbacks produced in 2023 in petrol, diesel and CNG form all have discounts of up to Rs 1.05 lakh. Meanwhile, most MY2024 models get up to Rs 30,000 off, though the entry-level XE variant gets benefits worth Rs 15,000. The Altroz range is priced from Rs 6.50 lakh-11.16 lakh, with Tata saying there are a total of 46 variants on offer. It should be noted that the Altroz is the only model among its rivals (like the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno) to offer a diesel engine option.
Save up to Rs 2.75 lakh
Some dealers have remaining stock of the pre-facelift Harrier and Safari, which was replaced back in October last year. These models have massive direct cash discounts along with an exchange or scrappage bonus, totalling up to Rs 2.75 lakh. Refreshed models produced in 2023 have up to Rs 1.75 lakh off, while benefits up to Rs 25,000 are available on the MY2024 Harrier and Safari.
Both Tata’s flagship SUVs have the 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The five-seat Harrier is priced between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 25.89 lakh, while the three-row Safari costs Rs 15.49 lakh- 26.79 lakh.
Save up to Rs 1.35 lakh
Like with the larger SUVs, some dealers still have pre-facelift inventory of the Nexon, which get enormous discounts to the tune of Rs 1.35 lakh, including a cash discount and an exchange or scrappage bonus. Nexons produced in 2023 have benefits up to Rs 80,000. However, those made during this year get up to Rs 30,000 worth of discounts, at least on the higher variants. The entry-level Smart trims have just Rs 10,000 off, while the mid-spec Pure trims get up to Rs 25,000 in total benefits. There are no benefits yet on the recently launched Nexon CNG.
Tata’s website lists 100 variants for the Nexon, which comes with as many as seven powertrain options (not including the all-electric version). The 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine has 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and 7-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox options, while the 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel has 6-speed MT and AMT options. When run on CNG, the 1.2-litre mill produces 100hp, and is available only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Prices for Tata’s answer to the Mahindra XUV 3XO and Hyundai Venue range from Rs 8.00-15.80 lakh.
Save up to Rs 1.15 lakh
MY2023 versions of Tata’s smallest models, the Tiago hatchback and its compact sedan counterpart, the Tigor, get over a lakh in total discounts during this month, across their petrol and CNG variants. Interestingly, the entry-level Tigor XE made in 2024 has benefits worth Rs 45,000, while one could avail up to Rs 25,000 off on the rest of the compact sedan’s range. The lower-spec Tiago XE, XM and XTO trims have benefits of up to Rs 15,000, while all other trims have Rs 25,000 in total discounts.
Both these models come with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that makes 86hp on petrol and 73.4hp on CNG. In either case, 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT options are on offer. The Tiago currently costs between Rs 5.00-8.75 lakh, while the Tigor is priced from Rs 6.00-9.40 lakh.
Save up to Rs 40,000
The Punch SUV currently has discounts up to Rs 40,000 on MY2023 models, while those produced in this year have benefits of up to Rs 15,000. However, these are no discounts on the entry-level Punch Pure variant, or on the recently launched Camo versions. Tata’s rival to the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Ignis comes with a 1.2-litre engine making 88hp on petrol and 73.5hp on CNG. While select petrol variants get an AMT option, the CNG ones are manual only. The Punch’s price starts at Rs 6.13 lakh-10.15 lakh.
