Sandeep, who announced the film in December last year, described the project as more than just a film. “This isn’t just a film – it’s a battle cry to honor a warrior who fought against all odds, challenged the might of the Mughal empire, and forged a legacy that can never be forgotten,” he stated.
The film is also set to feature singer Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, in a key role, as per IMDb reports.
Meanwhile, Rishab Shetty is currently immersed in the filming of Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1, a prequel to his 2022 blockbuster Kantara, which won him a National Award for Best Actor. The much-awaited prequel is slated for release on October 2, 2025.

With The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he takes the director’s chair for the first time, promising a cinematic tribute to one of India’s greatest historical icons.
