Mangaluru: Regional films like Malayalam, Bengali, and Marathi have achieved significant global recognition. These successes are not budget-driven but content-oriented, observed Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty. He stated that Tulu cinema holds similar potential and can also gain global traction.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday during the shooting of the much-anticipated Tulu film Jai featuring Roopesh Shetty, Suniel Shetty remarked that Tulu-speaking people have excelled in various fields, including Bollywood.

“The culture and landscapes of Tulu Nadu are remarkable. This region provides great opportunities for filmmakers from different languages. Although I had earlier received several offers, this is my debut in Tulu cinema. I am eager to work on a full-length Tulu comedy movie in the future. Comedy is a universal language, and I look forward to exploring it further,” he said.

Wishing Saif Ali Khan a Speedy Recovery

Commenting on Saif Ali Khan’s recent incident, Suniel Shetty described it as unfortunate and hoped for his swift recovery. “There is growing concern about the safety of artists,” he added.

Roopesh Shetty was also present at the event.
