Hubballi: BJP leaders influenced by Nathuram Godse’s ideology are intimidated by Congress’ upcoming “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” convention in Belagavi, alleged Randeep Singh Surjewala, Karnataka Congress in-charge.
Speaking at a press conference, Surjewala accused the BJP of suppressing opposition leaders and promoting divisive politics marked by coercion and injustice. He remarked that BJP’s ideological foundation is inherently against social justice and Gandhi’s philosophy, which Congress continues to propagate through such initiatives.
Misuse of ED Alleged:
Surjewala accused the BJP of misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to disrupt the convention. He alleged that central agencies are being used to target Congress leaders, mentioning Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi as frequent targets. Karnataka leaders Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar were also facing undue scrutiny, according to him.
AAP Failed in Public Administration:
Surjewala criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for disrespecting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, which has drawn nationwide condemnation. He claimed that BJP and AAP are both responsible for Delhi’s governance issues. Congress, he declared, will contest Delhi elections independently, relying solely on its strength.
