Chitradurga: ‘Will B.Y. Vijayendra serve a full term as BJP State President?’ Industrial Minister M.B. Patil doubted whether anyone truly believed in Vijayendra’s long-term presidency.

In response to Vijayendra’s recent comment that Siddaramaiah would not serve a full term as Chief Minister, Patil retorted sharply, stating that Vijayendra’s metaphorical chair is standing on a single leg after three legs have broken. He demanded Vijayendra clarify how long he would continue as State President.

Addressing reporters in Chitradurga, Patil also referred to allegations in the MUDA scam and claimed that central agencies such as the CBI, ED, and Income Tax Department operate under the directives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He asserted that Siddaramaiah has done no wrong and will face any legal challenges confidently.

Government Will Not Collapse:

Further, Patil dismissed the claims of BJP MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal that Congress MLAs themselves might topple the government. He said Yatnal frequently changes his statements and that Congress need not respond to his remarks. Patil suggested that Yatnal focus on cleaning the “mess” within his own party rather than speculating about others.

Patil further mentioned that no Congress MLA would defect to another party, whereas MLAs from the BJP and JD(S), possibly as many as 25, are expected to join Congress.
