Even after thorough preparations by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Police, Dehu Road experienced major traffic snarls as vehicles headed to singer Arijit Singh's concert at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Gahunje on Sunday.
One social media user also claimed that people had to walk 3-4 km to reach event place.
The concert, held on Sunday, attracted a large number of attendees, causing significant congestion in the Dehu Road area. Drivers had to wait for up to 15 minutes at various spots due to long traffic snarls.
Even after the arrangements by the Pimpri-Chinchwad traffic police, including setting up diversions and regulating signals, the traffic situation worsened in nearby areas of the ground.

Concerts and trafifc
On March 16, a live music program by Arijit Singh, organized by Plantos Venture Pvt. Ltd., took place at the Gahunje Stadium, Maharashtra Cricket Association, within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate limits. The event was expected to draw a large crowd and, thus, to traffic snarls and potentially creating law and order issues, several traffic alterations were in place in the area.
In March 2024, Arijit Singh had performed in Pune at Teerth Fields in Sus. Initially scheduled for March 3, due to the overwhelming response, the event was rescheduled to March 17 and moved to a larger venue. While the concert was a treat for music lovers, it turned out to be a nightmare for traffic authorities. The Pune-Bengaluru highway witnessed a six-kilometre-long traffic jam, stretching from Bavdhan to Orchid Hotel, creating chaos for those trying to access the venue.
