Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Meteorological Department has issued yellow and orange alerts for rain and storms on 19 and 20 March in Madhya Pradesh.
Some districts of central state woke to cloudy skies on Monday, with possibilities of rains in the eastern parts.
What to meteorologist say?
Weather department officials stated that, currently two cyclonic circulation systems are active over Rajasthan and over north-western Madhya Pradesh. Due to this the weather has changed. A new system will be active again from March 18. Due to this, it may rain for the next 2 days.
Bhopal, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Chambal, Sagar and Shahdol divisions will be more affected. Winds may blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kmph. At the same time, drizzle can occur in cities like Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions.
Weather for next two day
On March 18, cloudy weather is expected in Indore, Ujjain, and Bhopal divisions, with chances of light rain in the eastern region.
However, on March 19, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sagar, and Shahdol divisions will experience cloudy skies, rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.
Temperatures to rise in month end
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of heat will be seen again in the state in the end of March. Heat wave can also prevail in some areas.
In many cities, the mercury can cross 40 degrees celsius. Generally, if the day temperature is more than 40 degrees or 4.6 degrees more than normal, then it is considered a heat wave.
Earlier on Sunday, a drop of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius was recorded in the day's mercury. Bhopal, Vidisha, Sagar, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli remained cloudy. Drizzle and thunderstorms also persisted at some places.
