John Abraham starrer The Diplomat was released on March 14, 2025. It was Holi and a holiday, but one cannot expect a bumper opening for any film on this festival as people are busy playing with colours. However, the movie took a decent start with a collection of Rs. 4 crore. The pre-release buzz for The Diplomat was not that great, so this was surely a good opening.

Now, either the film needed to show a big jump or at least be stable at the box office. Well, there was no big jump on Saturday and Sunday, but the movie continued to be steady. According to Sacnilk, on Saturday, it collected Rs. 4.65 crore, and on Sunday also the collection was approx. Rs. 4.65 crore, taking the 3-day total to Rs. 13.30 crore.

While of course it is not a huge number, it is also not a bad amount. John's last release Vedaa in three days had collected Rs. 10.80 crore. It had also received a better opening because of Independence Day holiday. So, in comparison, and with less promotions, The Diplomat has surely collected a better amount.

However, now the film needs to pass the Monday test. While there will be a drop on its fourth day, but if the movie collects anything around Rs. 2 crore on its first Monday, then we can expect it to have a decent week one. For now, we can expect The Diplomat to collect around Rs. 20 crore in its first week.

Sikandar is reportedly slated to release on March 30, so The Diplomat will have one more week to collect at the box office. So, let's wait and watch what will be the lifetime collection of the John Abraham starrer and will the movie be a hit at the box office or not.
