While ASIs lost their lives in Araria and Munger, the recent incident in Bhagalpur on Saturday late evening left a sub-inspector, three constables, and a watchman seriously injured.
Former Bihar chief minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Pratap Yadav criticised the state government over this incident. Sharing a video of the incident on the microblogging site X, Tejashwi Yadav stated, "A deadly attack on the police team in Bhagalpur. Four police personnel, including a sub-inspector, were injured, and the remaining officers fled to save their lives. In the past three days, two ASIs have been killed. The Chief Minister is unconscious. He is unable to manage the Home Department. Their government has been in power for 20 years — who will they blame for this collapsed law and order situation now? The maximum number of police personnel and officers have been killed during Nitish Kumar's tenure."
Referring to NCRB data, he claimed that over 60,000 civilians have been murdered during Nitish Kumar's 20-year rule.
"How long will they keep hiding this reign of terror by intimidating newspapers and media houses with the threat of withholding advertisements? Ask those who have lost their brothers, sons, and fathers about their pain," he added.
