Bhopal/Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The city is witnessing a grand celebration of Holi on Friday. At the same time, it is also an important day for the Muslim community as they gather for Jumma prayers during the holy month of Ramadan. Security has been tightened across the city, especially around Badi Omti Mosque, where police personnel have been deployed. DIG of the range is patrolling sensitive areas to ensure peace.

Meanwhile, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh celebrated Holi traditionally at his Civil Lines residence. His supporters and party workers danced to orchestra tunes, and the minister himself was seen drenched in festive colors.

Earlier in the morning, members of the Suprabhatam Parivar celebrated Holi with senior citizens at Gol Bazaar. The group has been following this tradition for over 30 years. Their members, including Sudhir Sahu and Alok Pathak, expressed joy in celebrating the festival with unity and enthusiasm.

Across the city, people are gathering in groups to enjoy Holi. Major locations like Gol Bazaar, Malviya Chowk, Civic Center, Hanumantal, Miloni Ganj, Napier Town, Wright Town, Civil Lines, Gorakhpur, and Sadar are filled with colors. Women, children, and elders are also participating with great enthusiasm. Some areas are buzzing with DJ music, while others resonate with traditional Holi songs. The city is immersed in festive joy, ensuring both celebration and harmony.
