Former Indian keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has hailed Rohit Sharma's leadership qualities, with the latter heading fresh off to IPL 2025 after winning the Champions Trophy recently. Karthik opined that Rohit 'walks the walk and talks the talk' when it comes to how cricket needs to be played by his team.
The 37-year-old added another laurel to his captaincy tenure in Indian cricket as he ushered the Men in Blue to Champions Trophy glory, months after leading them to T20 World Cup victory. India sealed their third Champions Trophy title by remaining undefeated and beat New Zealand by four wickets in the final at the Dubai International Stadium.

During an interaction ahead of IPL 2025 with Isa Guha, Karthik stated:
"There's a leader in Rohit Sharma and you can see he has got the respect of his peers. But most importantly, he walks the walk and talks the talk about how cricket needs to be played."
