Alia Bhatt had a pre-birthday celebration on Thursday with the media, and later, the actress along with her hubby, Ranbir Kapoor went to Alibaug to celebrate her birthday and holi. However, the couple is back in Mumbai today after hearing about the sad news of Ayan Mukerji’s father, Deb Mukherjee’s demise. Ayan and Ranbir are best friends; the two have worked together in movies like Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra.

Ranbir and Alia were spotted together at Gateway of India, Mumbai while returning from Alibaug. But, both the actors went in different cars as RK rushed to Ayan's house. Check out the video below…

On Thursday, during Alia’s pre-birthday celebration, even Ranbir was there, and while talking about Brahmastra 2, the actor had said, "Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time; the entire story of Brahmastra. As you guys know he is currently working on War 2. Once the film releases he is going to start the pre-production of Brahmastra 2."

 "It is definitely happening. We haven't really announced much of it, but we will have interesting announcements coming regarding Brahmastra 2," he added.

Deb is Rani Mukerji and Kajol’s uncle, and the latter has reached the veteran actor’s house to pay her last respect. She was clicked with her mother, Tanuja. Even Karan Johar has reached Ayan's house.

Deb Mukherjee was a veteran actor and had starred in multiple films like Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, King Uncle, and others. His last appearance on the screens was in 2009 release Kaminey which starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.

The funeral will take place today at 4 pm at Pawan Hans, Mumbai, and many Bollywood celebs are expected to attend it.
