Lucknow: While the city of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh is celebrating Holi, the police are ensuring that everything remains calm. As Holi approaches on Friday, officials have implemented robust security measures to ensure there are no issues.

More than 250 CCTV cameras and drones are utilized to monitor activities closely to observe events throughout the town. High-ranking police officials are responsible for overseeing the situation, and they have indicated that anyone creating disturbances will be addressed swiftly.

Particular focus is being directed towards the paths where Holi celebrations will occur. To prevent any issues, numerous mosques have been draped with tarpaulins. Quick Response Teams (QRTs) are patrolling the streets as well, closely monitoring various regions.

Sambhal has been organized into six zones and 29 sectors. Every sector is overseen by a magistrate-level official, tasked with maintaining law and order. This meticulous preparation seeks to guarantee that all goes well.

To enhance the police visibility, six companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) along with two companies of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) have been dispatched. These teams are positioned in locations with a greater likelihood of issues, allowing them to respond promptly if an event occurs.

Should any disturbances or altercations arise, these teams will quickly respond to the situation to regain control. Authorities have cautioned that anyone attempting to disturb the peace will encounter severe legal consequences. Residents are urged to observe Holi in a peaceful and amicable manner.

Officials are advising the public to disregard rumors and to promptly report any suspicious activity to the police. This enables them to remain aware of any possible issues.

In past years, comparable robust security measures have been implemented during festivals, aiding in ensuring everyone’s safety. This year, the administration is putting in effort to ensure that the festivities take place smoothly and without any issues. They desire for everyone to celebrate Holi carefree.
