Rajkot: At least three people were reportedly killed in a fire that broke out at a residential building in Gujarat's Rajkot on Friday. The blaze erupted at Atlantis Building on the 150 Feet Ring Road. One person also sustained injuries. After receiving the information, fire tenders reached the spot.
Senior officials also rushed to the place where the blaze erupted. The injured person was taken to a hospital. According to a report by India Today, at least 50 people were rescued. Two firefighters also reportedly sustained injuries. Panic gripped the area after the incident.
A dramatic rescue operation was also caught on camera. In the video, firefighters could be seen rescuing the people using a fire evacuation lift.

One person is still missing. "The fire broke out at the Atlantic Apartment near the Ring Road. It was caused by short-circuit. Three people have lost their lives, while one other is admitted to hospital. Meanwhile, one person is still missing," Rajkot West ACP BK Chaudhary told reporters.

The fire has been brought under control now. "Three people have lost their lives, and one injured person has been admitted to hospital for treatment. All the people living in the flat have been evacuated. The fire has been brought under control, and the situation is normal at the moment," SP BJ Chaudhary told reporters.
