A land dispute in Kuan Kheda village in the Bachrayun police station area of Amroha escalated to fatal violence on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of an elderly man and injuries to three others. The incident occurred near a mosque where Abdul Salam, also known as Sukhwa, and his family reside.

According to reports, a man named Anees had allegedly sold Sukhwa's family land to Anil and Ritik from Milk Motikheda village. On Saturday evening, while Sukhwa was carrying out construction work on the disputed land, Anil and Ritik arrived at the scene.

Sukhwa claims that the accused immediately opened fire and set his house ablaze. When Sukhwa and his family members protested, the attackers allegedly assaulted them with sharp weapons, resulting in injuries to Sukhwa, Akhtari, and Nawab. A video of the incident has surfaced online.

One of the injured, Akhtari, stated that the attack happened so suddenly that they had no time to react. When her son tried to intervene, the accused allegedly beat him as well. All the injured were taken to a government hospital, where Sukhwa succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Police have registered a case of murder and rioting against both accused. While the suspects remain at large, multiple police teams have been deployed to apprehend them. The incident has created tension in the area, with anger spreading within the Muslim community. Additional police forces have been stationed in the village as a precautionary measure.

Police officials have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
