Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 13-year-old girl was threatened and allegedly raped by a 40-year-old neighbour in Gwalior on Tuesday.

The incident is of the Sirol area of Gwalior. The accused scared the girl and took her to his house, where he misbehaved with her.

After a complaint from the family, the police arrested the accused on Tuesday and started further investigation.

According to Sirol police, the 13-year-old girl was going to a grocery shop near her house to buy some items. On the way, 40-year-old neighbor Bhansingh met her.

He told the girl that her mother was calling her to his house. When the girl refused, he forcefully grabbed her hand and dragged her inside his house. There, he threatened her, slapped her, and raped her.

At the same time, the girl’s mother was searching for her and reached neighbor Bhansingh’s house. She heard her daughter’s voice from inside and asked Bhansingh to open the door. After this, the accused threatened the girl once again and let her go.

According to the police, the minor works in houses in the area. She has seven brothers and five sisters. Two days after the incident, when the girl’s health worsened, she told her mother everything. After that, her mother and brother reached Sirol police station and filed a complaint.

Based on the girl’s complaint, the police immediately reached the accused’s house and took him into custody.

The accused was trying to escape, but the police reached there before he could run away.

The in-charge of Sirol police station said that a complaint has been registered, and the accused has been taken into custody.
