Volkswagen India has announced the arrival of two exciting new models in 2025—the Golf GTI and the latest-generation Tiguan SUV. Both vehicles are scheduled to launch in the second quarter of the year and are expected to be available in showrooms by May. The Golf GTI will be introduced in its updated Mk 8.5 version, while the Tiguan will be offered in the high-end R-Line variant. With these additions, Volkswagen aims to appeal to performance car enthusiasts and SUV lovers, further strengthening its lineup in the Indian market.

Volkswagen is gearing up to introduce the Golf GTI in India, with an expected launch in August 2025. This performance-focused hatchback will pack a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine generating 260bhp, ensuring a thrilling ride. Sporting an aggressive design, it is expected to come with 18-inch Richmond diamond-cut alloy wheels and signature GTI elements like tartan-patterned seats and a distinctive front grille. Inside, the cabin is designed for an engaging driving experience, featuring a GTI-specific steering wheel for better handling. With its blend of power and iconic styling, the Golf GTI is set to make a strong impact in India's hot hatch segment.

Volkswagen is gearing up to launch the Tiguan R-Line in India, slated for April 2025. This performance-oriented variant of the Tiguan gets a refreshed design with sportier aesthetics and improved dynamics. It stands out with a more aggressive front bumper, larger air intakes, and a commanding road presence. Retaining the core elements of the globally recognized second-generation Tiguan, the R-Line variant is tailored for those who prefer a bold and dynamic SUV. Powering it is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, generating 186bhp and 320Nm of torque, ensuring a thrilling drive.
