Rangareddy: In a shocking incident, four masked men looted Rs 30 Lakh from an ATM machine in Telangana's Rangareddy district on Sunday. The burglars looted the money from a State Bank of India's ATM in the district. The incident was caught on the CCTV installed at the ATM kiosk and soon the video went viral on social media. The heist took place at around 2 am on Sunday.
In the CCTV footage, one of the burglars could be seen getting down from a car and entering the ATM center at Maheshwaram . He could be seen spraying a substance on the CCTV camera at the gate so that he and his gang members could not be recognised. However, the heist was captured on the CCTV installed inside the ATM centre. They also disabled the emergency alarm by cutting the wires, reported NDTV.

The thieves reportedly used an iron rod and gas cutter to cut the ATM machine. They looted around Rs 29.69 lakh and fled from the spot. Before leaving the ATM kiosk, they also rolled down the shutter. The entire heist lasted for four minutes.
The police have started a manhunt operation to nab the accused. They are using CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area to track the burglars' car.
"There were five people. One in the car, one waiting outside and three inside. They came equipped with gas cutters and iron rods to break open the ATM machine and take the wads of currency," area assistant commissioner of police, Raju told NDTV.
Investigators told the media house that they suspect that the thieves could be from Haryana. Notably, the thieves tried to loot another ATM at Mylardevpally but suffered an electric shock as they were cutting the wires,, as per the investigators.
"We have reason to believe the same gang committed ATM thefts in Bengaluru and also Hosur in Tamil Nadu where a similar modus operandi was followed," police officials told NDTV.
Several teams have bene formed to nab the burglars.
