The couple reportedly goy married in January last year.

Manav died by suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Agra.  He accused his wife of harassment. He was found hanging in his room on Monday, February 24. Moments before his death, Sharma recorded an emotional video of nearly seven minutes. In the video message, the man could be seen crying. He appealed to the society to "think and talk about men".

Sharma also alleged that his wife was having an extramarital affair. He apologised to his parents for ending his life. After Sharma's death, his parents tried to file a complaint with Sadar Police. However, the officer of the police station allegedly did not file the complaint citing Maha Shivratri duties, reported News18. They then appealed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through the CM portal. The police then reportedly registered a case on the basis of a complaint received through WhatsApp. According to reports, Sharma worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
