Mumbai: In a bizarre incident, members of Kalpataru Aura in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, celebrated Maha Shivratri in a special way on Monday. They brought holy water from the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj and poured it into their society’s swimming pools. Pictures of the event shared by the member of the society on X.

The event was organized to give residents a chance to take a sacred dip, especially those who couldn’t visit the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. With hymns being chanted by a priest, society members gathered and took part in the ritual.

This event gained attention on social media, with reactions on X including comments from users such as "Har Har Gange, Har Har Mahadev."

A similar incident happened at Noida

A similar incident also happened in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where residents of a society who couldn’t attend the Maha Kumbh decided to take a dip in their own swimming pool, believing it to be the Triveni Sangam. They brought holy water from the Sangam in Prayagraj and poured it into the pool.

The video of the event quickly went viral on social media. The women in Noida’s ATS society could be seen taking a dip in the pool, chanting "Har Har Gange" and offering prayers, treating the pool as the sacred Sangam.

The Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years, while the Maha Kumbh occurs after 12 Kumbhs, taking place once every 144 years. This year's Maha Kumbh began on January 13, and today marks the last day of the Maha Kumbh 2025, with the celebration of Maha Shivratri.
