In January this year, a 24-year-old resident of Chembur, tragically died in an accident near Wadala railway station in Mumbai. Mohan Golap, who worked at Indigo Press in Cotton Green, was traveling with his friend, Nikhil Bansode, from Cotton Green to Chembur. At around 8:40 PM, the train departed Wadala station.
Golap was standing near the door of the train. As the train crossed the Wadala bridge, he accidentally hit a pole near the tracks and fell. Passengers and Nikhil Bansode immediately noticed the incident and pulled the emergency chain. Railway police arrived at the spot and found that Golap had sustained severe head injuries and was declared dead on the spot.
