Amid a heatwave, Santacruz recorded a high of 38.7°C on Tuesday, 5.9°C above normal, marking the highest since February 19, 2017. Colaba reached 34.6°C, also above normal. Similar temperatures are expected Wednesday, prompting the IMD to issue a yellow alert for several regions. Factors include strong easterly winds delaying the sea breeze. An advisory recommends staying hydrated and indoors. A slight temperature drop is expected on Thursday.
