The five-day-long deadlock in Rajasthan Vidhansabha has intensified more as now the issue turned to the insult of the Speaker. The suspended MLA and Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara allegedly used derogatory language for the Speaker during adjournment in the house on Monday. The Speaker Vasudev Devnani broke down in tears in the House on Tuesday and said that he is not in the Chair to hear such words.

Meanwhile, the Congress MLAs were stopped entering the Vidhansabha as they were trying to enter along with six suspended MLAs.  Protesting this the MLAs staged a dharna outside the Vidhansabha. Former CM Ashok Gehlot and former deputy CM Sachin Pilot joined the MLAs as well.

The deadlock between the government and Congress MLAs started on Friday when a minister replaying a question called former PM Indira Gandhi the Dadi of Congress. Protesting this, the Congress MLAs had reached to the dais of the Speaker and six MLAs including Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara, were suspended from the House for the remaining period budget of the Budget session.

The deadlock was about to be resolved on Monday   but turned into another direction when Dotasara refused to apologize and later, when the house was adjourned, allegedly used derogatory language for the Speaker among his party MLAs in the house.

On Tuesday, the MLAs of BJP and some independents condemned the language used and demanded the suspension of Doatasara for the full term of the assembly. The BJP MLA Gopal Sharma and minister Madan Dilwar said that the Chair should take stringent steps for such behavior and suspend the MLA from the House for the full term of the Assembly.

While, the Speaker Devnani said that he was in the house for the fifth time but never heard such language and leave the decision regarding Dotasara to the House.

“I have never heard such words. I have never been biased, but still, it hurts when such allegations are made. After hearing all this, I also feel that he is not even eligible to become an MLA, but I leave its decision to the House,” said Devnani getting emotional on the issue.

Meanwhile, the Congress MLAs staged a dharna outside the house after being stopped from entering the house. The party may bring a No Confidence motion against the Speaker.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who reached the protest of Congress MLAs, has accused the government of not allowing the House to function.

“ The government, did not allow the Leader of Opposition to deliver his speech on the motion of thanks on the Governor's address. Even today, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara is being treated like an accused, while Dotasara and other leaders have expressed regret over the entire incident. Even after this, the minister did not apologise. This shows that the government is not interested in running the House," said Gehlot.

Sachin Pilot said that the government itself does not want to run the House. Our only demand was to expunge the remark of the minister from the proceedings and the minister should apologize, but it was not done.

While Dotasra said that he regrets for what he said among his party MLAs but the minister should apologise for his remarks as well.

“We'll not participate in the proceedings of the House until the minister's comment is expunged from the proceedings and the apology of the minister," said Dotasra.
