Aaditya Thackeray’s Unexpected Confession
In a conversation with Chef Suvir Saran for Screen, Aaditya Thackeray-one of the youngest and most prominent politicians from Mumbai-made a surprising revelation. Despite his well-documented love for street food, he has never personally visited either Swati Snacks or Shree Thaker Bhojanalay. As a Mumbaikar living in the city from this childhood, it came by as a surprise for the viewers that he hasn't visited these iconic eateries.
Upon being asked why, he said, “I’ve eaten from these places at friends’ houses but never actually had a chance to pay a visit to either of them,” Thackeray admitted. He also admitted that he has friends who have to cater to their family and hence they do not have time to go around the city. Instead, they order in and enjoy the food.
His food preferences, however, lean towards the city's iconic street eats. “I actually love the Bhaji Pao and Vada Pao at Vasaikar,” he added, reaffirming his connection with Mumbai’s most beloved comfort foods.
