BTS member Kim Taehyung, also known as V, has once again taken the internet by storm despite his ongoing military service. The singer, who has been largely inactive on social media due to his enlistment, recently delighted fans with a rare update, sharing glimpses from his recent life and military duties.

V’s heartfelt update

Taking to his Instagram today (February 23), V reassured fans of his well-being with a heartfelt message. In a fun way, he wrote, "sergeant kim has come to report that he’s alive.! it’s D-107. after the scary winter has passed, and after taking care of my body in the warm spring, i’ll prepare in good health and come to see you! ‍♂️"

The pictures show the singer in his military uniform, enjoying the winter season while also staying fit at the gym. His update quickly gained traction, sending ARMY into a frenzy.

Fans' emotional reactions

V’s return to social media, even briefly, was an emotional moment for fans who had been eagerly waiting for an update. The comment sections of fan pages flooded with love and excitement. When will V be discharged from military?

V, who enlisted in December 2023, is expected to complete his mandatory military service and be discharged on June 10, 2025. He is serving alongside his fellow BTS members, fulfilling South Korea's 18-21 month service requirement.

Although fans miss his presence, they continue to support him and eagerly await his return. Until then, this surprise update has given ARMY a much-needed boost.
