Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Van Vihar National Park released the final figures of vulture census carried out in the state on Saturday. As many as 12,981 vultures were spotted during the census. The last vulture census in 2023-24 showed the figure to be 10,845.

Thus, the number of vulture has increased by 2,136. The vulture census is held in two phases every year. This was the first vulture census carried out on February 17, 18 and 19. The second phase of vulture census will take place on April 29.

Seven species of vultures have been found in Madhya Pradesh. Of them, four are local and three are migratory. In 2019-20, state was home to 8,397 vultures followed by 9,446 in 2021-22. The state has mostly long billed vulture, white backed vulture.

16 Bhil Tribals Ramp-Walk To Showcase Traditional Dresses At NIFT Fashion Show

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): About 16 members of Bhil community displayed their traditional costumes by participating as models at the tribal round at a fashion show held at National Institute of Fashion Technology in the city on Saturday. It was part of inter-college NIFT Fest, Spectrum 2025, on the theme of Janjatiya Gourav Varsh.

The aim of this programme is to honour and showcase the costumes and jewellery of state’s tribal communities. The costumes designed by NIFT students were showcased by the models (NIFT students) on the ramp in three rounds including, Quasar, which displayed the fusion of dazzling and impressive elements.

It had 61 designers and 17 models. The theme of the second round was, Aetherion, which focused on science and technology that blended with wonders of the world. It had 46 designers and 15 models. The theme of the third round was, Neotopio, which was on a new world with imaginative characters. It had 37 designers and 13 models. There were a total of 61 models and 144 designers at fashion show.
