A man in the Ambegaon neighborhood of Pune brutally attacked and severed his girlfriend's head with a sickle after a furious fight. Following the crime, he went directly to the police station and turned himself up. He was taken into custody by the authorities.

As per the report by Puner Mirror, according to Pune police, the event happened on February 19 at approximately 7:30 p.m. close to a hill in the Rahuri taluka of the Ahilyanagar district, near the Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple. Sonali Raju Jadhav, 28, who lived in Pokhari, Ambegaon taluka, had an affair with Sakharam Dhondiba Walkoli, 53, who lived in Nirgudsar taluka, Ambegaon.

They had been cohabitating for a while. But Sonali had gone to her spouse a few days prior, leaving Sakharam. Later on, though, she called Sakharam and expressed her want to see him again. In addition to asking for money, she allegedly threatened to report him to the police if he failed to look after her. Sakharam found her actions annoying. They met at the Nagar bus station on that fateful day. Sakharam and Sonali then proceeded to a hill close to the Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple in the Rahuri taluka's Vambori neighborhood.

Killed with stones

They conversed as they sat there. An argument erupted between them at approximately 7:30 p.m. In a moment of rage, Sakharam struck Sonali with a stone and beat her with a wooden club. He then used a sickle to cut Sonali's head off after assaulting her with a crowbar. Sakharam confessed to his crime in the Vambori police station after he had committed it. A police squad hurried to the scene right away. The severed head and the torso of the deceased were sent to the Ahilyanagar district hospital for post-mortem.

Sakharam was taken into custody by the Ahilyanagar district police after they confiscated the blood-stained sickle. A murder case has been filed against him. MD Jadhav and forensic specialists Rashid Sheikh examined the murder scene. The Ahilyanagar police are doing additional inquiry.
